Carpenter, Maxine J.

Maxine J. Carpenter, age 93 of Clintonville, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 25, 2017 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass.

Maxine was born on December 20, 1923 in Antigo, WI as the daughter of the late Albert and Nellie (Drew) Schoening. She grew up in rural Marion and graduated from Marion High School in 1942. After attending Kaukauna Normal School for two years, Maxine went on to become a bookkeeper. She worked for the FWD/Seagrave Inc., in Clintonville for six years prior to her employment as a bookkeeper for Clintonville Motors, Inc. for 41 years. On November 27, 1981 Maxine was united in marriage to Wallace Carpenter in Marion. The couple resided in Clintonville their entire married life prior to Wallace’s death on August 2, 2003. Maxine was currently a member at Grace Family Church in Marion. She was a person of faith and determination.

She will be missed by her extended family and friends; Jim and Sue Collins and Ron and Jackie Dey. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wallace.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Kelly Loken officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery, also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
