Two men have been arrested following a burglary and vandalism spree that hit the Chain O’ Lakes area, Waupaca, Weyauwega and Fremont, as well as neighboring counties.
Jordan D. Fritch, 21, Weyauwega, and Jesse M. Schmidt, 37, Fremont were taken into custody.
During September, area law enforcement received numerous complaints of vehicle break-ins.
Many of the vehicles were entered by breaking windows or forcing door locks.
After investigators recovered several stolen items at a pawn shop, the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in Weyauwega, where they recovered more stolen items.
Fritch and Schmidt remain in jail pending their initial court hearing.
