Officers were called to a shooting incident at 8:28 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, to 326 Granite St., Waupaca.
Waupaca police, Waupaca County deputies, the coroner’s office and paramedics responded.
The victim was identified as a 31-year-old man who died of a gunshot wound.
The Wisconsin State Crime Lab and Wisconsin State Patrol were contacted to assist the Waupaca Police Department with their investigation.
The body has been sent for an autopsy and the case will remain open until lab results are completed.
Chief Brian Hoelzel said the public was not in danger at any time.
