Stroesenreuther, Richard “Dick”

Richard “Dick” L. Stroesenreuther, age 67, New London, passed away one day short of his 68th birthday.

He was born in New London, on November 29, 1949, son of Myrlon and Elaine (Thayer) Stroesenreuther. Dick loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping; traits he shared with and passed down to his family and friends. He was just a fun guy to be around and loved telling stories of the “Good Old Days.” Dick would do anything to just make someone laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Dick is survived by his sons, Richard (Liz) Stroesenreuther, their children, Brennan, Lauren and Caitlin; Daniel (Hannah) Stroesenreuther, their children, Ellie and Oden; sister, Sue Millard and her son Dustin, and a nephew Steve McGlin. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Nathan Stroesenreuther, a sister Fay McGlin, nephew Jeff McGlin, and a brother in-law James Millard.

A Memorial service for Dick will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017, at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
