Ruth M. Allen, age 84, of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

She was born on October 15, 1933 to August and Alice (Hebblewhite) Bleskey. She was united in marriage to Clayton Allen Jr. and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2012. Ruth was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Waupaca, where she served on the Altar Guild for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, walking and bird watching.

Ruth will be dearly missed by her children: Bradley Allen of Waupaca, Barbara (Russell) Reynard of New London, Barth (Jeri) Allen of Waupaca, Matthew Allen of Waupaca, and Mark (Melanie) Allen of Deer Park, WA; grandchildren: Clayton Allen, Nicole (Ryan) Wockenfus, James (Shayna) Reynard, Rachel (Kyle) Petit, Jenna Hobson, Jessica Allen, Kimberly and Karena Allen, Mara and Macy Allen; brother, David (Kathy) Bleskey of Amherst; and sister, Jane Madsen of Mauston. She is further survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clayton; and three brothers, James, Martin and Richard.

A memorial Mass will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Waupaca, with Father Nigel Bousfield officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass. Burial of cremains will take place in Lower Amherst Cemetery at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of ThedaCare Waupaca and Neenah, the ICU nurses, Dr. Wascher, as well as Deb, Becky and Hannah from Bethany Pines. The Maple Crest Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
