Pacelli picks up win

By Greg Seubert

Pacelli handed the Weyauwega-Fremont boys’ basketball team a 65-37 loss Dec. 5.

W-F kept pace with the Cardinals after falling behind 11-3. Louis Knecht’s basket tied the game at 13-13, but those would be the Indians’ final points of the first half, as Pacelli scored the next 14 points to take a 27-13 halftime lead.

The Cardinals added to their lead by opening the second half with a 19-1 run to take their biggest lead, 46-14.

A pair of three-pointers from Levi Erdmann cut the lead to 46-20, but the Indians never got any closer than 23 points the rest of the way.

Erdmann and Kolden Baehman led the Indians with 12 points each, while Pacelli’s Jonah Peplinski led all scorers with 15. Andrew Blanker and Andrew Firminhac also finished in double figures with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
