Wissmann, Marvin

Marvin A. Wissmann, age 81 of the Town of Pella, Shawano County, passed away at his home Saturday afternoon, December 23, 2017.

Marvin was born July 27, 1936 on the Wissmann home farm in the Town of Pella. He was the son of the late Emil and Anna (Krueger) Wissmann. Marvin drove milk truck for Oak Grove Cheese Factory in Pella for 15 years while farming the home farm. Marvin was united in marriage to Rhonda Graper on September 6, 1964 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leopolis. Rhonda preceded her husband in death on July 24, 2009. Marvin was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pella where he at one time served on the cemetery committee. Marvin enjoyed woodworking, working with antique metal, loved to hunt, and looked forward to fishing and spearing mulleys and red horse on the Embarrass River. He was a “jack of all trades” and had the gift of gab.

Survivors include: his daughter, Cindy (Greg) Vincent, Shawano; son, William “Bill” (Lori) Wissmann, Clintonville; granddaughter, Katie Wissmann; step-grandchildren, Brittany (Alan) Peters and Bud Wickman and Clint (Nikki) Vincent and Chad Vincent, Abby (Jeremy) Robinson; step-great-grandson, Damian Peters. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rhonda.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home, 53 N. Main Street, Clintonville with Rev. Timothy Lofgren officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
