Jim Walker will present “Challenges of African American Genealogical Research” at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Holly Center, 321 S. Main St., Waupaca.
Hosted by the Waupaca Area Genealogical Society, Walker’s program is free and open to the public.
“I will present how the research approach for African Americans is significantly different prior to and after 1870,” Walker said.
He said his own personal genetic journey spans “from the vastness of West Africa to the small Wisconsin village of Nelsonville.”
