Arthur Richard Messerschmidt, born on May 31, 1930, Oshkosh Wisconsin, died January 10, 2018 in Florida of old age.
Arthur is survived by wife Patricia, sons, Steve and Dan. Academics, athletics, and a commitment to family and hard work were earmarks of Art’s life
Art graduated from UW Madison in 1954 with a 4.0 GPA. He was married to Patricia for 66 years and raised two sons, Steve and Dan. Pat and Art also helped raise their nephew Matt when his mother died. Art started his career at Sealtest Foods and rose to assistant treasurer of Kraft Foods. He only worked for one company his entire career. At age 73, Art won the Florida Seniors Doubles State Tennis Championship. He also water skied well into his 70s. He is missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him.
