Gluth, Karen Kae

Karen Kae Gluth age 65 of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, February 9, 2018, after a brief illness.

She was born in Clintonville on August 1, 1952, to Herman and Livia (Fandrey) Gluth. Karen was born with special needs and spent many years living in special care facilities around Wisconsin. Despite her limitations, Karen enjoyed her life listening to music, watching TV, visiting the zoo, community outings, long car rides, and, most recently, kayaking and swimming.

Welcoming her into heaven are her parents, Herman and Livia, and her brother, Lyle Gluth, her grandparents, aunts, uncles and a cousin. Karen will be deeply missed by her brother, Gary Gluth and his family, along with her special aunt, Betty McConley, many cousins, special family friend, LaVerne Sell and her family, and the staff of Aurora Residential Alternatives. Karen’s family extends their deepest appreciation to the people of Aurora who cared for her and made her life so enjoyable each and every day.

Private family funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville with the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville in the spring. Family members may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Karen’s name are encouraged to be directed to St. Martin Lutheran Church, 100 S. Clinton Ave. Clintonville, WI 54929.
