Bertram, Brenda Jean

Brenda Jean Bertram, age 57, passed from this life into her eternal home on February 23, 2018 due to natural causes.

Brenda was born in Madison on June 29, 1960 to Gene and Vivian Bertram. After graduating High School in Waupaca, she attended Mid-State Technical College where she earned her LPN license. Brenda worked as an LPN for the WI Veteran’s Home in King, she then transferred to the University Hospital in Madison. While working at the University Hospital she attended Madison Area Technical College where she earned a degree as a court reporter. After that Brenda freelanced as a court reporter in Milwaukee. In 1992 she accepted a position in Wisconsin Rapids for Wood County where she’s worked for the past 27 years. Brenda loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She spent most of her weekends with her family in Waupaca. She enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation, growing flowers, feeding birds, and chasing squirrels off her bird feeders. Brenda enjoyed and appreciated her co-workers and neighbors. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Brenda was the oldest, and in her mind, the wisest of Gene and Vivian’s ‘Divine Nine’. Survivors include her mother Vivian Bertram, Waupaca; her siblings, Wade (Sally) Bertram, Amherst; Daniel (Margaret) Bertram, Waupaca; Darcy (Mike) Schmidt, Oshkosh; Mark (Joanne) Bertram, Waupaca; Christina (Darrell) Trzebiatowski, Plover; Lee (Lori) Bertram, Manawa; Kirk (Melissa) Bertram, Kendall; Truli (Andy) Nielsen, McFarland; 35 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Gene Bertram, and her grandparents, Virginia and Walter Brown and Grace and Nelson Bertram.

Her family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to the Judges, coworkers and many friends who provided transportation and assistance throughout the years. We ask that you ignore any typos, Brenda was not here to correct us.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 26th, 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. till time of service at 11 a.m., at the Holly Funeral Home, in Waupaca, Wisconsin.
