Waupaca County sheriff’s report Feb. 26

• Feb. 25 – Cellphone caller in downtown Waupaca reported seeing a white 2000 Ford Explorer hit three cars in the parking lot.

• Feb. 25 – A 75-year-old resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported he was missing $50.

• Feb. 25 – Caller reported a Waupaca student sent Snapchats that said, “If this is how my life is going to be I don’t want to be in it,” and “I’m done, bye everyone.”

• Feb. 25 – Caller from the N6100 block of County Trunk I, Fremont, reported the illegal dumping of trash, tires, oil container, wooden table and two dumpsters.

• Feb. 25 – Waupaca woman reported that when she went to visit her ex regarding a dog, he was sitting on the porch with a gun and threatened her by saying, “You have 10 seconds to get out of my driveway.”

• Feb. 25 – A 21-year-old man hanged himself in Manawa.

• Feb. 25 – Staff at ThedaCare Waupaca reported a dog bit a 1-year-old boy on the nose.

• Feb. 24 – Caller from the town of Dayton asked for a welfare check on her 14-month-old grandson because his mother uses meth and has left the child home alone with a 9-year-old girl.

• Feb. 24 – Caller from the 600 block of Oak street, Waupaca, reported that when he counted his cash at the end of his shift, he noticed $100 was missing from his delivery bag. He said he believed the money had been stolen from his unlocked car while it was parked at a convenience store.

• Feb. 24 – Caller from the 1000 block of County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, said an unknown man was ringing her door bell and turning the door knob.

• Feb. 24 – Caller from the E1700 block of Erickson Road, Waupaca, reported somebody dumped an old TV at the end of his driveway.

• Feb. 24 – Caller from the 100 block of Moore Street, Ogdensburg, reported receiving an alert there was a virus on his computer. The alert provided a phone number that claimed to be Microsoft Tech Support. When he called, they asked for and he consented to give them access to his computer, which later started to shut down.

• Feb. 24 – East Side Mobil Express, Waupaca, reported two subjects were in the store stealing things from the gambling room.

• Feb. 23 – An 83-year-old resident of Wisconsin Veterans Home at King called 911 and reported he was being held against his will. Nursing staff said they would check on him.

• Feb. 23 – Caller from the E6700 block of White Lake Road, Weyauwega, reported someone entered their home and stole several items.

• Feb. 23 – The EconoLodge on West Fulton Street in Waupaca reported a visitor was intoxicated and refusing to leave.

• Feb. 23 – An employee of the Citgo station on West Fulton Street in Waupaca reported a woman went into the restroom. When she came out, her arms, legs and head were twitching.

• Feb. 23 – Caller from the E9100 block of State Highway 96, Fremont, reported a hysterical person at her home who said she fled from a traffic stop.

• Feb. 22 – Resident of Christmas Tree Lane, Waupaca, reported she received a call telling her that her TV reception would be down, but it could be fixed for $150. She then gave the caller the last four digits of her Social Security number. When she called DirectTV, she learned it was a scam.

• Feb. 22 – Caller from the 500 block of South State Street, Waupaca, reported some girls came to her house and threatened her daughter.

• Feb. 22 – Staff from the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported a verbal altercation between two residents, ages 64 and 71.

• Feb. 21 – A 31-year-old Milwaukee man said he and his 2-year-old daughter were staying at his mother’s house and she kicked him out. He said he hoped to get a voucher so he had some place to stay.

• Feb. 21 – Caller from the 500 block of High Street, Waupaca, reported someone broke her window and is trying to get into her apartment.

• Feb. 21 – A Waupaca woman reported a purse with credit cards a a Social Security card were stolen from her car while it was parked in front of Shaunie B’s in Ogdensburg.

• Feb. 21 – Staff from the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported an altercation between a resident and staff and asked police for help in controlling the resident.

• Feb. 20 – Staff at Iola Living Assistance, Chet Krause Drive, Iola, reported a woman came to the facility to visit a resident, but was refused entry because she was intoxicated. She was reportedly in her car drinking whiskey while the 911 call was made.

• Feb. 20 – Caller from Main Street in Waupaca reported a man was sleeping on a bench in front of the Waupaca Area Public Library.

• Caller said he was parked in the alley behind Weasel’s in Waupaca and could see the door was busted open.
