Eisentraut, Geraine

Geraine E. Eisentraut, age 92 of Waupaca, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Bethany Home surrounded by her family.

Geraine was born on February 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Marvin and Eleanore (Knuth) Arndt in the town of Fredonia, WI. On June 7, 1947 she married Elwood “Joe” Eisentraut in Batavia, WI. Geraine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waupaca and very active in VFW Auxiliary and the American Cancer Society. Geraine was a Sunday school teacher for 40+ years, 4-H general leader for 60 years, and Home and Community Education for 72 years. Geraine and her late husband Elwood farmed in the Town of Waupaca for over 50 years and delivered and sold eggs.

Geraine is survived by her son, Wayne (Sue) Eisentraut of Waupaca, WI; granddaughter; Gina (Andrew) Strobusch of Waupaca, WI; great-granddaughters, Olivia and Mallory; grandson, Tanner Eisentraut of the USA; daughter; Donna (Bruce) Burns of Stevens Point, WI; granddaughter, Heather Ahles of Green Bay, WI; great-grandson, Levi Ahles; granddaughter, Holly Burns of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Heidi (Todd) Landis of Stevens Point, WI; great-grandsons, Jeremiah, Samuel, and Benjamin Landis; grandson, Christian (fiancée Nichole Higgins) Burns of Plymouth, WI; son, Larry (Ardyce) Eisentraut of Waupaca, WI; granddaughter; Kari (Tom) Riley of Amherst, WI; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Elisha, Everlah and Elwood Riley; grandson, Paul (Joni) Eisentraut of Waupaca, WI; great-grandsons, Devan, Landan, and Aidan Eisentraut; granddaughter, April (John) Bartel of Scandinavia, WI; great-grandchildren, Verena and Owen Bartel; daughter, LeAnn (Roger) Tilden of Menasha, WI; sister, Sylvia Yoho of Random Lake, WI; brother, Howard Arndt of Belgium, WI; sister-in-law, Kathy Arndt and Judy Arndt, also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Geraine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elwood; brothers, Martin, Danny, Armin, and Robert Arndt; sister, Letha LeClaire.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Waupaca. Reverend Dee Ann Woods is officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Private family burial will be held at a later date at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
