Miller, Donald William

Donald William Miller, 86, of Waupaca, WI passed away at home on Monday, March 12, 2018.

Donald was born on February 11, 1932 in the Town of St. Lawrence, Waupaca County, son of the late Milton C. and Doris (Neubauer) Miller. The second oldest of six children, Donald was always happy to skip school in order to help his father with the farm work when needed. After graduating from Weyauwega High School, he worked as a mechanic before attending Idaho State College to become an electrician. On August 5, 1967 he married Rebecca Klemann in Green Bay where they began their 50 year marriage together. Donald was a caring, protective and entertaining father to his two daughters and he adored his four grandchildren very much. Music was in his heart and he was musically talented being able to play many instruments by ear, with the accordion being his trademark. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Donald treasured bible truths and was devoted to his Christian ministry of sharing these with others. His sense of humor was endearing, and he created laughter, even despite pain, until his last days.

Donald is loved and missed by his wife, Rebecca; their daughters, Deanna (Ken) Wayne and Terrah Miller; their grandchildren, Courtney (Joseph) Slack, Sydney, Ashton and Emma Wayne; his brothers, Milton B. (Phyllis) Miller, LaVerne (Jean) Miller, Wilbur (Elizabeth) Miller, David (Linda) Miller and his sister Elaine (Norbert) Laszewski; his brother-in-law David (Candy) Klemann and sister-in-law Karla (Norbert) Gorecki; also many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waupaca; Alfred Ellison officiating. Visitation begins at 2:00 p.m.

Donald’s family extends a very special thank you to the compassionate team of ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
