Julie M. Ott, New London, age 95, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018.
She was born on October 8, 1922 in Bear Creek, WI to Joseph and Victoria Bricco. Married to Ralph Ott, they resided in Bear Creek and then New London. A remarkable mother and grandmother, she was a voracious reader, an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling with her sister, and authored unpublished poetry.
Julie is preceded in death by husband, Ralph Ott. She is survived by four children: Julie (Gary) Herres, New London; Joni Kowalski, Center City, MN; Jill (Mel) Behnke, Hastings, MN; Jim (Nancy) Ott, New London; grandchildren: Jamie Herres (Duane) Vandermause, Stacy Herres (John) Ruckdashel, Joey Herres (Joe) Didion, Randee Herres (Joe) Sterzinger, Kris (Michelle) Kowalski, Keri Kowalski (Chuck) Brunschon, Aaron (Heather) Ott, Andrew (Ashten Surprise) Ott;
great-grandchildren: Andrew, Devin and Drake Vandermause; Davi (Lamb), Josie, and Sydney Ruckdashel; Emily and Ben Didion; Marina and CJ Sterzinger; Parker and Meadow Ott; the Kowalski family great-grandchildren: Codey, Karter, Kade, Shey, and Joanna.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 (10:00-12:00), service (12:00) at St. Joseph’s Chapel in New London. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in King. Special thanks to the staff and nurses at Trinity-Terrace Residence and the Heartland Hospice Team. The Cline Hanson Funeral Home in New London is serving the family.
