Driver charged with felony OWI

A woman was released on a $2,000 cash bond after being arrested for drunken driving.

Tina L. Bueschel, 47, Weyauwega, is charged with a sixth offense of operating while intoxicated.

At 8:39 p.m. Friday, April 27, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Krueger responded to the area of State Highway 54 and Axtell Lane in the town of Waupaca.

An anonymous caller had reported that a Toyota RAV4 was traveling 35 mph in a 55 mph zone with its turn signal activated for nearly a half mile.

Krueger found the vehicle on the side of the road and identified the driver as Bueschel.

According to the criminal complaint, Bueschel had slurred speech and red, glassy eyes.

Due to prior OWI convictions, she is limited to a .02 blood-alcohol content.

A preliminary breath test indicated she had a .281 BAC.

Conditions of Bueschel’s bond include that she must maintain absolute sobriety and submit to the jail’s electronic alcohol monitoring system.
