‘Libraries Rock’ this summer

The Waupaca Area Public Library will offer summer programsfor people of all ages.

“Libraries Rock!” will be the theme, and the program will run from June 11 to Aug. 24.

Participants will register, read and win books and coupons.

There will be daily activities in the library’s Teen and Children’s departments, and a number of events for adults as well.

All the programs are free and open to the public.

The summer schedule will include:

• An after hours program in the library at 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, with a showing of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

The interactive movie will be for those age 18 and up.

• A Third Thursday Musical at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 21, when “Mama Mia” will be shown.

There will be free popcorn.

• Another Third Thursday Musical at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 19, with a showing of “La La Land.”

There will again be free popcorn.

• Sounds at the Depot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21.

It will be a Family Railroad Show & Story Time at the train depot, which is located at 525 Oak St., in Waupaca.

• The final Third Thursday Musical at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, when “The Greatest Showman” will be shown.

The event will include free popcorn.

• Back Stage Pass at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, when there will be an escape room for adults in this after hours library program.

This will be for those age 18 and older, and those wanting to attend need to sign up for the program.
