Schultz, Robert “Bucky” L., Jr.

Robert “Bucky” L. Schultz Jr., age 81 of the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away Thursday May 31, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton following a brief illness.

Robert Lee Schultz Jr. was born in the Town of Larrabee on April 22, 1937 as the son of the late Robert and Alma (Roloff) Schultz Sr. He attended St. Martin Lutheran School and Clintonville High School. On October 11, 1958 Bucky was united in marriage to Delores Baird at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New London. The couple would’ve celebrated 60 years of marriage later this year. The house they reside in today was Bucky’s home his entire life. As a very young man he started driving milk truck and later became a truck driver for Foreway Express for 32 years. After his retirement from Foreway, Bucky enjoyed driving and delivering cars for Klein Automotive in Clintonville. His sense of direction and love of driving were second to none and he rarely turned down an opportunity to hit the road. Bucky loved being outdoors taking care of his land, cutting wood, planting trees, gardening, working in the flower garden, planting food plots, deer and turkey hunting, and annual fishing trips to Pelican Lake in Orr, MN and Lake of the Woods. He also enjoyed woodworking, helping his daughter and son-in-law on their farm, polka dancing, and watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. Bucky traveled to all of the lower 48 states with Delores as the couple was always together. He was a faithful member at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville his entire life. Bucky will be remembered for making people laugh and keeping them on their toes. Things like shooting birds out of his front window without warning his family were common. Anyone that knew him could attest to his gift of gab and the fact he was an amazing whistler. Most importantly he knew his Lord and Savior and wasn’t afraid to live his life as an example for others by being there whenever needed.

Survivors include: his wife, Delores; children: Jody Schultz, Jan (Jon) Henschel, and Jay (Kristi) Schultz; grandchildren: Justin (fiancee, Olivia Bessette) Henschel, Jennifer (Griffin) Wiley, Jordan (fiancee, Carmen Johnson) Henschel, and Ella and Charles Schultz; sister, Lolly Weber; sisters-in-law, Mildred Schultz and Faye Oestreich; also nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ken Schultz and Don (Jeannie) Schultz; a sister, Lucille (Martin) Piotter, and brothers-in-law, Bob Weber and Jim Oestreich.

Robert’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 12 p.m. at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Weber officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by his family. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
