Waupaca County sheriff’s report June 25

• June 25 – Caller from the 1100 block of Evans Street, Waupaca, reported an elderly woman who appeared confused had come to her home saying she just escaped from the hospital and needed help.

• June 24 – Caller reported a suspicious man sitting on a bridge. When the deputy arrived, he discovered the man was a public works employee enjoying the view of the Waupaca River while waiting for a co-worker to arrive.

• June 24 – Caller reported a blue sports utility vehicle with two intoxicated women almost hit some signs by the Beacon Avenue apartments in New London.

• June 24 – Waupaca caller reported a man came out of a downtown Waupaca bar and punched her friend in the face, knocking him to the ground.

• June 24 – Caller from the N1000 block of Pines road, Fremont, reported a neighbor fired a couple of shots. She said he has threatened her in the past.

• June 24 – Caller from the E1500 block of Murray lane, Waupaca, reported she just purchased a house and people are there taking things and trashing the place.

• June 24 – Caller from the E9200 block of Hansen Road, New London, reported a 2003 blue Mercedes was stolen from the intersection of Buelow and Hansen roads.

• June 23 – Caller from the 700 block of Depot Street, Manawa, reported shortly before 1 a.m. that he had a fight with his ex-girlfriend and walked out of the house. She called and asked him to return and when he did, she allegedly said he should say goodbye to their child because she was going to make sure he never sees her again. He told dispatch she punched him, and she was later arrested for disorderly conduct.

• June 23 – Caller from the 700 block of Depot Street, Manawa, called again at 8:40 a.m. and said his ex-girlfriend’s sister came to his residence and began yelling at him.

• June 23 – Ex-girlfriend’s sister called shortly after 10 a.m. and complained her sister’s ex-boyfriend was at her home and she feared for her safety.

• June 23 – Ex-boyfriend called a short time later and complained his ex-girlfriend just walked past him.

• June 23 – Caller from the 200 block of Maple Street, Waupaca, reported someone took her baby stroller.

• June 23 – Caller from the 400 block of South Western Avenue, Waupaca, reported a neighbor girl was looking through her window and she wanted to speak to an officer.

• June 23 – Caller from the E5700 block of Desert Road, Fremont, reported hearing loud explosions that sounded like dynamite.

• June 23 – Caller from the N7100 block of State Highway 49, Weyauwega, reported some teens damaged his vehicle.

• June 23 – Caller reported a man riding a lawnmower up and down Lawrence Street in New London.

• June 23 – Caller from the E1700 block of Lake Shore Drive, Iola, reported a woman fell off a dock and impaled her buttocks on a pipe.

• June 23 – Caller from the 400 block of East Fulton, Waupaca, reported a man was wondering around outside the caller’s house, wearing nothing but shorts and carrying a flashlight. He appeared to be intoxicated.

• June 22 – Caller from the 300 block of South State Street, Waupaca, reported she found a stranger sleeping on her couch.

• June 22 – Caller from the E7300 block of County Trunk N, Manawa, reported her 11-year-old step-daughter has been yelling, screaming and calling her names.

• June 22 – Caller from the 300 block of Waupaca Street, Waupaca, reported fraudulent charges on her debit card.

• June 22 – Caller reported a woman living on the 900 block of 10th Street, Waupaca, had four cats and one dog living in poor conditions.

• June 22 – Staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported a resident’s friend visited with her and left with a $2,500 check. Staff suspected fraud, intercepted the check and called adult protective services.

• June 22 – Caller from the N15000 block of Buckbee Road, Marion, reported her ex-husband took the child placement documents from her vehicle without her permission.

• June 22 – Caller from the E5800 block of Swan Road, Manawa, reported his ex-wife is not following the stipulations of their child exchange agreement.

• June 22 – A 64-year-old caller from the 400 block of North East Street, Weyauwega, told 911 communications officers he was upset that his friends were being hurt on Facebook for being Democrats, but they were really Republicans. Or visa versa, according to dispatch.

• June 22 – Caller from the N1600 block of Sue Lane, Waupaca, reported a neighbor was blowing things up with fireworks.

• June 21 – Caller from the 1100 block of Wolf River Drive, Fremont, reported receiving an email that her Apple ID was hacked. She looked up Apple Support on Google and called the number that came up. The man who answered the phone convinced her to buy $1,900 in iTunes cards, then said she had to pay interest to the Internal Revenue Service. That is when the caller realized she had been scammed.

• June 21 – Caller from the E9100 block of Crain Road, New London, reported seeing a neighbor naked in his backyard.

• June 21 – Caller from E9000 block of Sunshine road, Fremont, reported a man was stealing flowers from the cemeteries in Readfield.

• June 21 – Caller from the 300 block of Oak Street, Waupaca, reported two flower pots were stolen from her yard.

• June 21 – Caller reported seeing a woman with green and purple hair shoot up outside the Fremont Citgo. She was in a car with a small child.

• June 20 – Officers were called to deal with a disorderly group of people at the Waupaca County Courthouse.

• June 20 – Staff at the Kmart store in Waupaca reported a man in a tan truck was trying to talk with a teen employee and asking women customers to come to his truck.

• June 20 – Caller from the 400 block of West Main Street, Weyauwega, reported a girl was lying on their lawn, crying and moaning.

• June 19 – Caller from the 400 block of Waupaca Street, Waupaca, reported a white Ford Taurus fishtailed and hit the caller’s front steps and metal rail fence, then drove up onto the terraced lawn.
