Mwosa, Janis Lee (nee Marzinzik)

Janis Lee Mwosa, age 74, of Nairobi, Kenya, formerly of New London, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of June 13, 2018 from Melonoma cancer, that she diagnosed with in February 2018.

Janis was born on November 10, 1943 in New London to Henry and Geneva Marzinzik. She was united in marriage to Josef Mwosa on March 4, 1967 and they moved to Kenya, where she has been living ever since.

Janis is survived by her children, Katanu (Kimenyi) Waruhiu and Kioko (Thato) Mwosa; grandchildren, Jasmine and Kali Waruhiu and Sifa, Bosa and Tuli Mwosa; her mother, Geneva; three sisters, Cheryl (RJ) Wargula, Rose Stern (Steve Thompson) and Verna LeNoble and brother, Bob and a very special family friend Reeny Gagnow. Janis is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, her extended Nairobi family and many friends. Janis was preceded in death by her father, husband and two brothers-in-law, Jim Stern and Daniel LeNoble.

Funeral services were held at the PCEA Loresho Community Church on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Nairobi. Janis was laid to rest at her home in Kakuyuni Village in Kangundo, Machakos on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Condolences can be sent to Cline and Hanson Funeral Home P.O. Box 119, New London, WI 54961.
