Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 9

• July 8 – A man and a woman went to the Clintonville Police Department and said they were homeless and hungry and needed help.

• July 7 – A Bear Creek woman reported that her 12-year-old daughter received a photo of a friend who appeared to have attempted suicide by cutting herself.

• July 7 – Caller from 200 block of West Main Street, Weyauwega, reported a man was beating a woman’s face against a steering wheel.

• July 7 – Caller from the 200 block of Hillcrest Drive, Marion, reported his girlfriend’s friend attacked him, strangled him and threw him to the ground. He said they had both been drinking.

• July 7 – Caller from the E1700 block of Tresness Road, Iola, reported someone threw furniture in the roadway.

• July 7 – Caller from the 900 block of South Bridge Street, Manawa, reported his mailbox has been smashed for the seventh time. He suspects one of his neighbors.

• July 7 – Waupaca cellphone caller reported a man was trying to open a car door with a shoe string through the window. Whenever someone walked past the man, he would stop.

• July 7 – A 96-year-old resident at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported between $70-$80 missing from his wallet.

• July 7 – A man was reported riding a lawn mower for more than an hour back and forth on Division Street, Waupaca.

• July 7 – Landlord reported unauthorized people were living in a house on the N1600 block Sue Lane, Waupaca.

• July 7 – Four callers from Waupaca and Manawa complained about fireworks.

• July 6 – Caller from 1100 block of Depot Street, Manawa, reported her neighbors shot off fireworks the previous night and now her lawn is littered with debris.

• July 6 – Sturm Foods, Industrial Drive, Manawa, reported a man in a tan car parked in the company lot appears to be unconscious.

• July 6 – Caller from the N200 block of Cobb Town Road, Waupaca, reported the neighbors’ dog is constantly barking and the parents are constantly yelling at their children.

• July 6 – Caller from the 400 block of East Ellefson Road, Iola, reported she was having an ongoing problem with juveniles harassing her. That night they threw fireworks in her yard.

• July 6 – Staff at Taco Bell, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a car was in the drive-thru, and the driver and passengers appeared intoxicated.

• July 6 – Man reported being jumped while he was on the back deck of Paca Pub, North Main Street, Waupaca.

• July 5 – Caller from the E5700 block of County Trunk G, Marion, reported seeing some 12 to 13-year-old children going through mailboxes on Tuesday night. Caller and his neighbor have not received any mail for the past three business days.

• July 5 – Caller from the N8600 block of Campbell Lake Road, Ogdensburg, reported a juvenile drove down the road at 50 mph, cut through his lawn and ran over some small trees.

• July 5 – Caller from N1900 block of Shadow Road, Waupaca, reported the theft of a garbage bin.

• July 5 – A man with a red baseball cap was reported to be drunk and stumbling along County Trunk QQ in King.

• July 5 – A man was reported staggering along County Trunk E in Waupaca. Police found him on the ground with a cellphone in his hand.

• July 5 – Caller from the N8600 block of Blue Mountain Road, Ogdensburg, heard a loud noise outside her home shortly after midnight. When she got out of bed, she found her patio door wide open. She believed someone may have entered her home.

• July 4 – Multiple people called 911 to complaine about fireworks.

• July 4 – Caller from the E6200 block of County Trunk F, Weyauwega, reported hearing noise outside her home shortly after 10 p.m. When she asked through the window if she could help them, they asked to come inside because a psychopath was chasing them. By the time she went to the door, they were gone.

• July 4 – Caller from the 500 block of East Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported two men in their pajamas prowling around outside. She said they banged on the neighbor’s door.

• July 4 – Waupaca police helped a visitor find his parked truck after the parade.

• July 4 – Cellphone caller reported a shirtless man was walking in the roadway of U.S. Highway 10 near Weyauwega. He did not seem to be in a hurry to get out of the way of traffic and several vehicles had to swerve to avoid hitting him.

• July 4 – A Fremont caller reported people were screaming at each other and starting to fight over boats being backed up at the launch on the Wolf River.

• July 4 – ThedaCare in New London reported that when they told a woman she needed to leave, she took some pills and threatened to kill herself.

• July 4 – ThedaCare in Waupaca reported a man in his 60s was being belligerent.

• July 3 – Multiple people called 911 to complain about fireworks.

• July 3 – ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca reported a dog bit a 6-year-old boy.

• July 3 – Ambulance dispatched to the Waupaca County fairgrounds in Weyauwega in response to a 5-year-old boy who stopped breathing.

• July 3 – Caller from the N2700 block of Duvenick Lane, Waupaca, reported she arrived home and found her boyfriend there. She said he seemed intoxicated and was bleeding from his head.

• July 3 – Caller from the N2500 block of County QQ, King, reported a man stepped in front of a car to stop it, tried to pull out the passenger, then threw his beer into the car.

• July 2 – An 88-year-old woman on the N2000 block of County Trunk K, Waupaca, reported her 70-year-old neighbor stole two clothes lines. She said he has been taking things from her for the past eight years.
