Tiny homes village proposed

HUB Ministries hopes to create a Cooperative Community Tiny Home Village in Waupaca.

Constructed by Wee Build of Waupaca, the homes would be less than 1,000 square feet.

A tour of one of the homes with information on the the site design for the village is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Waupaca’s South Park Upper Pavilion.

“I believe you will be amazed at how comfortable living in a tiny home can be,” said Bob Hall co-founder of Wee Build LLC and vice president of HUB Ministries Board of Directors. “Plus tiny homes in our village will be affordable as well.”

The meeting will also include discussion of the vision behind this project and ways that the community can be part of making the vision a reality.

The event is free and open to the public.

“This is really bigger than just tiny homes,” HUB Ministries board member Dana Swisher said. “The cooperative community village is just what the name implies – a cooperative village where we all work together to bring safety, trust and hope to individuals and families. It is also an opportunity for the community to share skills, gifts, and resources. We believe working cooperatively with the community is the key to success.”
