Burington: The library is a great place for the whole family to spend time

Construction around the square in Waupaca has made getting to the Waupaca Library a little more difficult. Thanks for making the effort.

Rest assured that the parking situation will improve once the streets, sidewalks and infrastructure have been rebuilt.

If you can’t make it into the library we have convenient ways for you to utilize library services. You may use your phone to ask questions, renew your materials, or update your library account. Our friendly staff is available during library hours to help you. If you have internet access, you may go online to www.infosoup.org to place items on hold or renew materials.

We even have a text messaging service that allows you to renew your items with just a few “thumb-clicks.” You can download audio or e-books for free with your library card. You need only download the app and use your library card to get started.

Our outdoor book drop has been placed on the front sidewalk and the book return located on the west side of the lobby is open. If you have a disability that prevents you from walking, please call us and we will make arrangements to assist you in receiving or returning your library materials.

The Waupaca Library is committed to providing literacy opportunities for all ages and the Summer Library Program, “Libraries Rock,” is providing those opportunities.

You can visit our website to see all of the programs and activities, www.waupacalibrary.org. The youth Department is providing almost daily activities in the Exhibit Room, renamed for June and July, Club 107. Teens are invited to spend the afternoon at the Best Cellar, playing games, doing projects, working on computers, reading, or connecting with other teens.

The library is a great place for the whole family to spend time, find resources and connect with others without charge. Hope to see you there.

Peg Burington
Director
