Burglary charges filed

A 19-year-old suspect is in custody on a $20,000 cash bond.

Zachary Z. Edwards, 19, Appleton, is charged with burglary and criminal damage to property as a party to a crime.

On Aug. 3, Capt. Dennis Schroeder, with the Clintonville police, questioned Edwards and Hunter B. Hohn, 19, Shawano, about several vandalism complaints in the area.

When Schroeder learned one of them had thrown a brick through a large glass window, he sent an officer to 12th Street to check on an auto dealership.

According to the criminal complaint, Edwards told Schroeder he threw the brick and Hohn offered to keep watch while he went inside the building to look for money.

Hohn has not been charged in the vandalism case. However, he is currently in Shawano County jail on a probation hold.

On March 28, Hohn was convicted in Waupaca County of two misdemeanor counts of theft and obstructing an officer.

He was placed on two years of probation.
