Krake, Jay D.

Jay Donald Krake, New London, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Jay was born on June 21, 1938 in New London, son of the late Luther and Emma (Rousseau) Krake. He married Judith Roberts on March 2, 1957 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1955 to 1963. Jay worked at Fox Tractor for 22 years and for Hortonville School District as the bus director, retiring in 2000. He loved spending time with his family, camping, time spent with his children and grandchildren, the Packers, country music, westerns and traveling the United States with Judy.

Jay is survived by his wife Judith; daughter Jayne (Randy) Grunwald; son Jeff (Becky) Krake; grandchildren: Joel-Krake Grunwald, Scott (Jaime) Grunwald, Alyssa (Faulkon) Eagles-Lewer, Andrea (Ben), Lindsey (Megan), Spencer (Sara) and Zachary Krake; great-grandchildren: Eevie Tank, Teagan and Sawyer Krake, Aaron Jones and Lilith Grunwald. He is further survived by brothers, Robert (Gloria) Krake and Sherman Krake, a sister Carol (Wirt) Holm, sisters-in-law, Dale Krake, Gloria Knorr, Beverly Willard, Barbara Roberts and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Lynn, and brothers, Norbert and Charles, a sister Sharon Becker, brothers-in-law: Conrad Christensen, Ronald Knorr, Robert Roberts, Keith Roberts and Robert Willard.

A Memorial Mass for Jay will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London is serving the family. www.clinehansonfuneralhome.com
