Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 27

• Aug. 26 – Caller from the E2200 block of Circle Drive, Waupaca, reported finding a Toyota car key with a pewter “I love my schnauzer” emblem.

• Aug. 26 – Caller from the 200 block of Progress Road, Manawa, reported his girlfriend’s keys were missing.

• Aug. 26 – Caller from the N1700 block of Sue Lane, Waupaca, reported finding her house key months after it went missing last winter. She suspects whoever stole the key dropped it while he was in her house about one week ago while she was away. She recently purchased 12 pizzas, ate one pizza, went away for a few days, then returned to find all but three of her pizzas missing from her freezer.

• Aug. 25 – Mukwa town supervisor reported a large diesel truck knocked over a traffic sign at the intersection of Manske and Bean City roads.

• Aug. 25 – A burglary was reported on the N2500 block of Woodland Circle, Waupaca.

• Aug. 25 – Caller from the 100 block of Pine Street, Waupaca, reported a female neighbor has been accusing his wife of killing cats.

• Aug. 25 – Caller from the 100 block of Pine Street, Waupaca, reported she had a stray cat at her house.

• Aug. 25 – Weyauwega woman reported her 22-year-old son was sending threatening text messages to her and her husband. She said the son lives in Milwaukee and has been diagnosed with psychotic tendencies.

• Aug. 25 – Caller from the 600 block of East Beacon Avenue, New London, reported a female tenant was harassing other tenants in the building, threatening to call Child Protective Services because the children were making too much noise when playing outside.

• Aug. 25 – Staff at Americ Inn, New London, reported people suspected of dealing drugs were bringing large bags in and out of their room.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the 400 block of South Western Avenue, Waupaca, reported a vehicle was struck and damaged in the apartment building’s parking lot.

• Aug. 24 – Solaris in Manawa reported one of its junction boxes was completely destroyed by a vehicle crash. A license plate was left behind at the scene.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the 700 block of LeRoy Butler Drive, Waupaca, reported her 14-year-old son refused to get out of bed and when she threw cold water on him, he kicked her in the stomach.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the N2600 block of County Trunk W, New London, reported their 13-year-old son was out of control and threatening to hurt himself and his sister.

• Aug. 24 – Caller reported a 2015 blue Schwinn bike had been stolen from South Park in Waupaca.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported a 71-year-old resident hit a 79-year-old resident.

• Aug. 24 – Stratton Drugs, Main Street, Waupaca, reported a customer found an iPhone outside the pharmacy.

• Aug. 23 – Numerous waste and recycling containers were reported stolen from the E2100, E1500 and E1300 block of Dayton Road, Waupaca; E4100 abd E3100 block of Casey Road, Ogdensburg; N4100 block of Sunnyview Road, Waupaca, E3100 block of Cross Road, Waupaca; E1100 abd E1500 block of Smokey Valley Road, Scandinavia. Smashed mailboxes were also reported in the same neighborhoods.

• Aug. 23 – Changes Group Home, Church Road, New London, reported two males in a beige four-door car pulled into the driveway and threatened boys with an orange-tipped pellet gun.

• Aug. 23 – Caller from the 900 block of County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, reported the theft of six oxycodone pills.

• Caller from the 400 block of North Street, Waupaca, reported finding a syringe on the sidewalk.

• Aug. 22 – Caller from the 200 block of High Street, Waupaca, reported finding a syringe on the ground.

Traffic
• One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in the town of Bear Creek.

Tyler Bessette, 29, Clintonville, and Jodi Harris, 61, Marion, were northbound on U.S. Highway 45.

Bessette was in the fast lane, while Harris was in the slow lane.

According to the accident report, Derek Wanca, 37, Antigo, rear-ended both vehicles as he attempted to pass between them.

Bessette and Wanca went into the east ditch and hit a utility pole.

U.S. 45 was closed temporarily due to low power lines as a result of the damaged pole.

Bessette was transported by ambulance to a New London hospital.

• The operator of a motorcycle was seriously injured after hitting a deer at 5:46 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.

William Dallman, 60, Manawa, was southbound on County Trunk E in the town of Waupaca when a deer ran into the road.

Dallman was transported to a Waupaca hospital for his injuries.
