Waupaca County sheriff’s report Sept. 24

• Sept. 24 – Out-of-state caller reported a Waupaca woman was being assaulted by her husband, who is drunk and in violation of his probation.

• Sept. 24 – A Weyauwega caller reported her boyfriend wanted to kill himself. According to dispatch, the boyfriend was also on the line and said he did not want to kill himself, that she was blowing a comment he made about feeling bad out of proportion.

• Sept. 23 – Waupaca caller asked for a welfare check on his two children. He said they are locked in a room so their mother can smoke pot.

• Sept. 23 – Caller from the N5300 block of Collier Road, New London, reported her ex-boyfriend broke the door, broke a table and is pushing people around.

• Sept. 23 – Caller from the 300 block of North Street, Waupaca, said his girlfriend was drunk, violent and belligerent. He said he pulled her outside to prevent her from destroying the house.

• Sept. 22 – Caller from the 500 block of Partridge Avenue, New London, reported her coworkers were harassing her. She said they texted her to meet them outside her home, but when she went outside they were not there. However, they said they could see her.

• Sept. 22 – Copper Shot, North Water Street, New London, reported a teen came into the bar, used the bathroom, walked out the back door and threw a used syringe into the dumpster.

• Sept. 22 – A trespasser was reported at Symco Thresheree. He was not supposed to be there, and he would not leave.

• Sept. 22 – Kwik Trip, County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, reported two men who could barely stand up just drove away in a red pickup.

• Sept. 21 – Employees at Kmart, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a burglary. When they arrived, the front door had been broken. Initially, they thought the door may have been damaged by the wind until they saw a hammer by the jewelry case.

• Sept. 21 – Caller from the 100 block of Maple Street, Waupaca, reported a man who appeared confused and intoxicated was at the front desk crying.

• Sept. 21 – New London caller reported that as she was driving past a 7 to 8 year-old boy standing at the end of a driveway, he threw a cat in front of her car.

• Sept. 21 – New London caller reported her boyfriend was on a chair and going to hang himself.

• Sept. 21 – Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported a nonresident showed up intoxicated at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and urinated inside the building.

• Sept. 21 – Caller from the E5300 block of North Water Drive, Manawa, reported two children were locked inside her vehicle.

• Sept. 20 – A bottle of pills was found in the street outside the Weyauwega Public Library.

• Sept. 20 – Caller from the E7000 block of County Trunk X, Weyauwega, reported $20,000 had been stolen from his safe, and he suspects his girlfriend.

• Sept. 20 – Caller reported a man and a woman were walking together near Fourth Street in Manawa. The man was slapping and screaming at the woman.

• Sept. 20 – Caller from the N6100 block of Garrity Road, Manawa, reported a man came to the door and wanted to read Bible verses to her mother. She did not feel threatened, but thought it was odd because he did not have any pamphlets.

• Sept. 20 – Caller from the 700 block of Wesley Street, Waupaca, reported the girlfriend of a man who is now in prison has been sending the caller threatening messages.

• Sept. 20 – Michigan caller said somebody was using his wife’s stolen credit card number at the Kwik Trip in Waupaca.

• Sept. 19 – Caller from the 700 block of Ware Street, Waupaca, reported the theft of her purse and wallet from her vehicle.

• Sept. 19 – Caller from the 400 block of South Division Street, Waupaca, reported he loaned his car to his cousin, who has failed to return it.

• Sept. 19 – Caller from the 100 block of North State Street, Waupaca, reported finding a wallet in his driveway.

Traffic
A one-vehicle crash shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, resulted in suspected minor injuries to the driver.

Mary Ann Zilz, 77, Iola, was northbound on County Trunk J in rural Iola when she failed to negotiate a curve, crossed over the southbound lane and crashed into a tree.

Zilz was transported to ThedaCare in Waupaca for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
