Waupaca County sheriff’s report Oct. 1

• Oct. 1 – Walmart, North Shawano Street, New London, reported an elderly woman slept overnight in a van in the parking lot. She asked to use the restroom and seemed confused.

• Sept. 30 – A burglary was reported at Fremont Mini Storage, State Highway 110, Fremont. Someone broke into three storage units.

• Sept. 30 – Caller from the 200 block of East Lake Street, Waupaca, reported a 12-year-old boy was running out into traffic.

• Sept. 29 – Caller from the 800 block of Seventh Street, Waupaca, reported three pieces of furniture were dumped into a back yard the previous night, possibly as a homecoming prank.

• Sept. 29 – Caller reported eight teens vandalizing homes on Berlin Street, Waupaca.

• Sept. 29 – Caller from 500 block of North Street, Waupaca, reported people screaming and verbally fighting.

• Sept. 29 – Caller from the 600 block of East Beacon Avenue, New London, reported an intoxicated woman fell and bruised her face.

• Sept. 29 – Caller from the 300 block of South Pearl Street, New London, asked police to remove a woman from his home because she damaged his refrigerator while taking beer out of it.

• Spet. 29 – Caller from the 1800 block of Pershing Road, New London, reported all four tires had been slashed on a 2002 Chevy Blazer.

• Sept. 29 – Caller from the 300 block of East Cook Street, New London, reported a wallet had been stolen from her vehicle.

• Sept. 29 – Hilby’s Restaurant, corner of East Wolf River Avenue and South Pearl Street, New London, reported a customer left without paying his bill.

• Sept. 29 – Caller from the 200 block of North Harrison Street, Waupaca, reported that at the end of a driveway two dogs were trying to tell her something is wrong at the house. Officers were sent for a welfare check.

• Sept. 28 – Caller from 16th Street, Clintonville, reported two male occupants of a blue Spitfire were shooting a gun at street signs.

• Sept. 28 – Caller from E9600 block of Manske Road, New London, reported finding two bullet holes in a pole building.

• Sept. 28 – Caller from 400 block of Jefferson Street, Waupaca, reported a missing 9-year-old girl. She had been last seen at the homecoming parade.

• Sept. 27 – A 75-year-old caller on County Trunk G in Iola reported a man tried to scam her by getting into her computer, then telling her they put too much money into her checking account and she needed to buy some gift cards. She went to her bank, and they closed her account.

• Sept. 27 – Caller reported an elderly woman had been lying on the sidewalk in front of the Waupaca Thrift Store. She asked for a welfare check on the woman.

• Sept. 27 – Caller reported a woman was walking a dog down the middle of Virginia Drive, Waupaca, yelling and swearing at vehicles as they tried to pass her.

• Sept. 27 – There were three complaints regarding teens toilet papering homes in Manawa.

• Sept. 26 – Kwik Trip, County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, reported six vehicles with teens swearing loudly and refusing to leave.

• Sept. 26 – Caller from 200 block of SE First Street, Marion, identified three teens who he said let the air out of the tires on his friend’s vehicle and put something in the gas tank.

• Sept. 25 – A 70-year-old caller from the 400 block of East Street, Weyauwega, reported she had been scammed out of $1,000.

• Sept. 25 – Nelson’s Shell, Churchill Street, Waupaca, reported a shoplifter.

• Sept. 24 – Caller from the 200 block of East Ann Street, Weyauwega, reported finding an abandoned bicycle near the boat landing.
