Joyce R. Redemann, age 71, of Fremont, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Appleton.
She was born on January 6, 1947, in New London, the daughter of the late George “Nick” and Sarah(Koplien)Kent. On August 26, 1966, Joyce married Mike Redemann in Weyauwega. They lived in Fremont for many years, where they raised their two daughters. Joyce worked for almost 20 years as a cook for Ted’s Grandview. After retiring, Mike and Joyce moved to Winter, Wisconsin where they lived for almost 10 years, before Mike preceded her in death on April 22, 2016. Joyce returned to the Fremont area, where she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going for lunches with her sisters.
Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Jill(Michael)Felske, Pine River; and Susan(Michael)McGlin, Fremont; three grandchildren, Kiley Larson, Megan and Conor McGlin; three sisters, Jeanne(Peter)Lantvit, Fremont, Joan (Barry) Paulson, Fremont, and Patty (Keith) Brunkey, Neenah; brother-in-law, Jim Redemann, Fremont; sister-in-law, Sharon Redemann, Madison; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Doug; her inlaws, Bud and Maxine Redemann; a nephew, Eric Paulson; two brothers-in-law, Eugene “Pat” and Christopher “Tuffy” Redemann; and a sister-in-law, Christine Redemann.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 312 W. Main St., Weyauwega. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, from 10:30 until the time of service. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.
