Wurtzel, Diane

Diane Wurtzel, age 73, from Weyauwega, WI, entered eternal life in heaven peacefully with her family around her Friday, October 5, 2018.

Diane was born February 5, 1945, daughter of the late Harry and Arcangela “Ann” (Vincitore) Johnson in Philadelphia, PA. Diane graduated from Bensalem High School, Bensalem, PA. She attended beauty school in Levittown, PA. She took great delight in serving others in the food service industry from waitressing in the Woolworth Soda Shop to owning her own restaurant business – the Crossings Supper Club. Diane lived a full and very active life. She was proud of her home and yard. She enjoyed her garden and sharing what she grew with family and neighbors. She loved playing darts and bingo and supporting her talented grandkids. Her laugh was contagious and heartfelt. She made friends with everyone she met in life and loved spending time with family and friends. She took great delight in watching the Brewers and Packers. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her husband, Donald Wurtzel, Weyauwega, WI; her sisters, Patricia Leer, Iola, WI; Elizabeth (Ray) Hodge, Palakta, FL; Mary Maio, Trevose, PA and brother, Raymond (Maripat) Johnson, Waupaca, WI; her children: Theodore L. Mitchell II, Waupaca, WI; Randolph L. (Brittany) Mitchell, Waupaca, WI; Kevin L. Mitchell, Manawa, WI; Gerald Jeske and Pamela D. (Tim) Litscher, Weyauwega, WI. She cherished her 18 grandchildren: Stanford Mitchell, Michelle Mitchell, James (Lindsay) Springhetti, Taylor Mitchell, Gunner Mitchell, Kylie Mitchell, Bailey Mitchell, Addysen Mitchell, Wyatt Mitchell, Amanda Mitchell, Nicole (Donnie) Head, Clint Mitchell, Jacob Jeske, Jaden Jeske and Erin Litscher. And her great-grandchildren: Theodore Mitchell IV, Hailey Rowe, Ashton Nusz, McKaylaAnn Nusz, Jude Springhetti, Cullen Schoepke, Austin Schultz, Alayna Schultz, Chase Schultz, Otto Wilson, and her very special friend, Jack Jansen. She is furthered survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandsons, Theodore Mitchell III, Matthew Mitchell and Garret Jeske.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega, with Father Nigel Bousfield officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. The Cline Hanson Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega is serving the family.
