Elsie L. Anderson, 90, of Fond du Lac passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Hospice Home of Hope.
She was born on January 3, 1928 in Waupaca, WI, the daughter of Alexander and Edith (Harris) Hansen. On August 3, 1944, she married Kenneth Anton Anderson in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1997. Elsie was the caretaker for her handicapped son until he passed away on February 18, 2007. She enjoyed reading, cooking, going to restaurants and long walks.
She is survived by her son Larry G. Anderson (friend Bonnie Schrage) of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren: Dustin Anderson of Fond du Lac, Paula (James) Guell of Fond du Lac and Lisa (Jose) Ramirez of Fond du Lac; six great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Vincent, Anthony, Matthew, Steven and Alexander; and one great-great-grandchild, Taylor. She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather George Barrington, her husband Kenneth Anderson, her son Ricky Anderson, two sisters, Margaret Anderson and Lila Nelson; her brother Loren Hansen, and her special friend Hub Quade.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jack Harrison officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will take place at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca.
