Special Lunch and Learn on Saturday

The Waupaca Area Public Library will host a special Lunch and Learn program at noon on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Author Terri Guldan will share 13 years of research and methods in sculpting her debut novel, “The Letter, A Family’s Tale Unplugged.”

The book explores family life with a child at war in Vietnam.

Those who attend the program will learn about her research, her process of sharing the story, why she wrote the book from the viewpoint of her 10-year-old self and more.

The program is being made possible by a donation from the Betty Anderson Family and will be catered by Three Squares Restaurant. Reservations are required.

People may register online at www.waupacalibrary.org/event/special-saturday-lunch-learn or by calling the library at 715-258-4414.

The event will be in conjunction with the opening of the library’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Exhibit, which runs from Nov. 12 through Dec. 28.

The library will be displaying a replica of the Vietnam Veteran memorial wall in Neillsville, and will also have items on display from local Vietnam Veterans, as well as information about the Children’s Library International.

In countries scarred by war and poverty, Children’s Library International is building a vision of hope, one library at a time, so underprivileged children and communities have access to knowledge to help better their lives.
