A face for every name

Waupaca library to host traveling memorial

The Waupaca Area Public Library will host Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name from Nov. 12 through Jan. 5.

This traveling exhibit, made possible by Wisconsin Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Television and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum, features a photo of every Wisconsinite listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., as well as those additional names listed on The Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial, in Neillsville.

In addition to the memorial wall panels, the exhibit will feature memorabilia and photographs from area veterans.

Nearly 165,400 men and women from Wisconsin served in the Vietnam War.

This exhibit will offer an opportunity to thank them for their service, and pay tribute to those who were killed in action.

Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name will be located in the library’s lower-level Exhibit Room.

The exhibit is free to the public and open during regular library hours.
