Felony charges follow pot bust

Police reported finding more than 33 ounces of marijuana in New London home.

Ramiro Leon, 43, is charged with two counts of delivery of cocaine near a school, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of cocaine.

He was released from custody after posting a $5,000 cash bond.

According to the criminal complaint, a confidential informant working with New London police purchased $250 worth of cocaine from Leon twice. First, on Oct. 23 and then on Nov. 14.

On Nov. 15, officers executed a search warrant at Leon’s New London home, where they seized more than 900 grams of marijuana and trace amounts of cocaine.

Leon’s home is located on Smith Street, which police say is less than 1,000 feet from Emannuel Lutheran School.
