Dalbec, Daniel William

Daniel William Dalbec, 63, died Oct. 31, 2018 after an unsuccessful heart surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Ill.

He was born Oct. 15, 1955 in Rhinelander, WI.

He is survived by his parents, Tim and Evie McCarville; a sister Cindy, all of Iola and a sister Peggy of Neenah, WI; three sons, Chris, Tim and JJ; a daughter Chelsea, and six grandchildren.

After a short stint at the Waupaca Foundry upon graduation for Iola High School, he took up driving semis which he continued most of his life. He loved driving trucks and boasted of having been in every state but two. He was a fun loving person. He loved his boys and grandchildren, one of which died three years ago. Heaven has opened its pearly gates to welcome Daniel home! He will be sadly missed by all.

I would like to thank everyone who was involved in Daniel’s funeral. Cindy M. and Kari Schroeder on making all the assessories for making it so special. He would have loved it. A big thank you to family, friends for everything.

Thanks to John Hielsberg for his great service for Dan, and the beautiful songs sang by Chuck Fritz, and to the Waupaca Veterans at King for making the burial so special.

Also, to our great-granddaughter for her own reading for Uncle Dan, and to granddaughter Dakota for passing the book and flowers to people. Also, to Chris who did a lot of phone calls and trip to get his father’s body back home to rest. Also, thanks to Tim D. and Jay for their final midnight trip to be with their father at the end. Last, but not least, I would like to thank Bethany Home for all their loving care of Dan. He sure loved it there and the people. I can’t begin to thank all the doctors and the nurses and aides for all their help. He really love you all. Thanks to Jeanie, a special friend, for her many trips right up to the end. It was all wonderful.

Thanks and God Bless all of you.
