Fire destroys home

Family loses everything

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, the Manawa Rural Fire Department received a call for a fire at 5048 Casey Lake Road, in the town of Royalton.

At the time of their arrival, the two-story farm house was fully engulfed in flames.

The home is owned by Joshua and Clarissa Fradrich. They have four young children and no one was home at the time of the fire.

Cause of the fire is undetermined and no injuries were reported. The house is a total loss.

Assisting Manawa were firefighters from Scandinavia, Weyauwega, Iola, Ogdensburg, Waupaca and Clintonville, as well as Manawa and Iola Ambulance Services, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department and Faulks Brothers.

According to the Manawa Rural Fire Department Chief Rob Rosenau the family lost everything in the house.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.

Anyone wishing to make a donation at this time is asked to donate gift cards, so that the family can purchase what they need. Donations can be dropped off at Smith’s Manawa Steak House, 960 Depot St., in Manawa.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.
