Q&A with Coach John Young

Number of years as head coach: First season.
Returning varsity athletes: Tabitha Brietrick (12), Jetlyn Michonski (11), Levin Engle (11), Matthew Skowronski (10).
Team goals/expectations: We hope to gain valuable mat time and experience this coming season.
Team’s strengths: Our two female wrestlers represented the state of Wisconsin at Fargo this past summer.
Team’s weaknesses: Our weaknesses are our numbers and lack of experience.
Biggest events on the schedule: We are looking forward to Parent’s Night against Fox Valley Lutheran on Dec. 20 and Senior Night against Little Chute on Jan. 24.
What would make for a successful season: I look forward to this year’s crop of wrestlers gaining experience and building for the future.
Why fans should be excited for this year’s team: We have a new mat, new uniforms and a new coaching staff. This year we are laying the foundation for the future.
