Jorgensen, David P.

David P. Jorgensen, age 79, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

David was born in Berlin, WI on February 18, 1939, the son of the late Norman and Irene (Heffernon) Jorgensen. On April 2, 1960, David married his wife Goldean Dallman at Grace Lutheran Church in Berlin. He worked in a variety of professions. His favorite was owning and running Jorgensen Farm Supply in Poy Sippi. He was a successful dairy farmer in Borth for many years. He was a hard worker and took meticulous care of everything he owned. David was known for his great sense of humor. He loved to tell stories and he took great joy in teasing people. He was a shark at Sheepshead and Rook and enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. He loved music. He was the bass in a gospel quartet for several years. He could play the piano and the accordion by ear without ever taking lessons. David had a big heart and was always willing to help others whenever he could. He was a source of wisdom and sound advice for many people. David was gifted with the ability to listen well. When people talked to him, he really listened to what they told him and always cared enough to ask them about their situation when he saw them again. He was a member of a United Methodist Church for most of his adult life. He had a strong faith and he was completely ready for the Lord to call him home.

David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Goldean Jorgensen of Waupaca; his children: Nancy (Randy) Brey of Oshkosh, Chris (Coreen) Jorgensen of Berlin and Andrew (Toni) Jorgensen of Milton, WI; his 10 grandchildren: Matt (Stephanie) Crane; Courtney (Matt) Mathia; Chelsey Jorgensen (fiancé Brad Fuchs); Clint Jorgensen (Brooke Harris); Jens, Myles and Camryn Jorgensen, Vanessa Crane, Stephanie Brey and Stacie Brey; his five great-grandchildren: Noah Crane, Max Trudeau, Piper Crane, Bryler Mathia and Caynen Jorgensen; his three brothers: Denis Jorgensen, Seward, NE; Dean (Mary Ann) Jorgensen, Henderson, NY and Nathan Jorgensen, Milwaukee, WI. David is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services for David will be on Sunday, January 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca with Pastor Jeff Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
