Patricia J. Montgomery, age 96 of Clintonville, passed away Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019 at The Pines Post Acute and Memory Care, Embarrass.

Patricia “Patsy” Jane Montgomery was born April 11, 1922 in Ladysmith, WI, daughter to the late Earl and Florence (Tinker) Henschen. She grew up in the Crandon area, and later attended school in Suring. Patsy met Orville T. Montgomery at a dance in Suring; the couple was later united in marriage on August 9, 1940 in Leona, WI. The Montgomery family lived in a number of different communities like Milwaukee, Waupaca, and even Michigan depending on where Orville could find work. After retirement in 1978, Patsy and Orville settled in Monico, WI. During their years up there, she ran the Senior Meal Site Program, providing food/meals for seniors. Patsy was a gifted gardener, growing all kinds of vegetables to can; and flowers to make the summer days a bit brighter. She was also known for her love of many different kinds of needle work, leather working, and other crafts. Patsy will be remembered as a sweet, loving mother who always put the needs of her children first.

Survivors include: daughters, Florence (John) McMurdo, Clintonville and Barbara (Robert) Zera, Clintonville; son, Wayne (Bunny) Montgomery, Leona; grandchildren: Lori (Dave Sroka) Blazek, Franklin; Leia Blazek, Collierville, TN; Lisa Rosio, Crandon; Wayne M. Montgomery, Crandon; Joseph (Michelle) Zera, Appleton; William (Jessica) Zera, Clintonville; and Wendy (Mike) Larsen, North Richland Hills, TX; 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Lobner, TX. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville; son, Orville Jr.; a granddaughter, Janice Zera; a sister, Margaret Holmes; and a brother Floyd Henschen.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville with the Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Interment will take place at the Nashville Town Cemetery, in Forest County, in the spring. Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
