Gayanne Rachel Wickman, age 75, of Weyauwega, rode away into the hills, on Friday, January 11, 2019.
Gayanne was born to the late John and Margaret (Hill) Grayer on May 31, 1943 in Argonne, WI. She married Martin Schumacher and following their divorce, she married Lyle Wickman in 1987. Gayanne loved the outdoors, animals and flowers. You could always find her in her barn! Gayanne had a passion for horses and dogs and was a member of the Rodeo City Riders. She drove school bus for the New London School District. Family was so important to her. Her unconditional love for her four boys and her grandchildren never went unnoticed. Every year Gayanne took her grandkids on special trips. Her huge family Christmas gatherings were always so much fun for everyone and also her themed Super Bowl parties.
Gayanne is survived by her husband, Lyle; sons, Willy (Laurie) Schumacher, Manawa; Jerry (June) Schumacher, New London; Bob (Jackie) Schumacher, New London and Al (Mary) Schumacher, Weyauwega; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren,one great-great-grandchild, sister, Norma Surin, Kimberly and niece, Paula Vaessen. Gayannne was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harry and William Hitter and one sister, Lorrene Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Rev. Jeff Prewitt will be officiating.
