Bessette scores 30 points

Laynie Bessette’s game-high 30 points led Manawa to a 63-21 win over Marion Jan. 17 in a matchup of Central Wisconsin Conference North Division girls’ basketball teams.
The Wolves led 35-13 at halftime and held the Mustangs to eight points in the second half.
Kellynn Kaczorowski and Kaitlyn Miller added eight and six points, respectively, for Manawa, while Bridget Bazile led Marion with seven.
The Wolves improved to 10-3 on the season and will travel to Tigerton Monday, Jan. 21.
