Waupaca County sheriff’s report Jan. 21

• Jan. 20 – New London caller reported she had not heard from her 40-year-old daughter in six days. Her daughter had not returned calls and had deleted her Facebook account. She described her daughter’s husband as physically abusive, especially when he had been drinking.

• Jan. 20 – Caller from 400 block of Water Street, Iola, reported someone took his pot belly pig while he was in the hospital.

• Jan. 20 – New London caller said a 59-year-old man said he wanted her dead because she was moving out.

• Jan. 20 – Caller from the 2300 block of Lensmire Road, Waupaca, asked that his ex-girlfriend be removed from the house because she refused to leave. Dispatch reported they had both been drinking.

• Jan. 20 – Caller from Lakeshore Court, Weyauwega, said her head had been smashed into the wall. Dispatch reported hearing yelling in the background.

• Jan. 19 – An 85-year-old Ogdensburg woman reported her neighbors’ dog barks a lot and somebody told her they would smash her head and kill her. She said she was very scared.

• Jan. 19 – New London caller reported someone broke the lock and ripped the door off his ice shack.

• Jan. 19 – Caller from the E4700 block of Butternut Ridge Road, Weyauwega, reported someone kicked in his door and served him papers.

• Jan. 19 – Caller from the E5800 block of Swan Road, Manawa, reported a red Ford Ranger drove into a cornfield. The driver went to the caller’s house and smelled of alcohol.

• Jan. 19 – Caller from the 500 block of Partridge Drive, New London, reported a woman had been calling and threatening her.

• Jan. 19 – Caller from the 200 block of East Union Street, Waupaca, reported her soon-to-be ex-husband watched his father die and have a seizure without doing anything to help back in October.

• Jan. 19 – New London caller reported his son received a call from an unidentified person who said, “Do you want to die?”

• Jan. 18 – Waupaca Realtor reported a man said he was looking for a house and “some other weird things,” then texted two of the Realtors about how beautiful they were.

• Jan. 18 – Canadian National Railroad requested additional patrols because 30-50 people were parking on Ferry Street in New London and walking down the tracks to go ice fishing on the river.

• Jan. 18 – A resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported he was missing $48.

• Jan. 17 – Resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported he was missing $120.

• Jan. 17 – Caller from State Highway 45, New London, reported he gave his debit card information over the phone. He said this is the second time he has been scammed.

• Jan. 17 – ThedaCare Behavioral Health in Menasha reported an intoxicated man called staff and said he wanted to kill himself.

• Jan. 16 – Bear Creek seed dealer reported he delivered $48,000 worth of seed to a Waupaca County farmer who paid for it with a post-dated check, then canceled the check.

Traffic
• A 55-year-old Waupaca woman was injured shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, in the town of Scandinavia.

Lynn Conlon was northbound on State Highway 49 when she failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road, hit a mailbox, then struck a tree head-on.

An ambulance transported Conlon to ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca for treatment of suspected serious injuries.

• One person was injured in a crash at 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, in the town of Farmington.

Edyta Brewer, 32, Waupaca, was westbound on U.S. Highway 10 when she drifted onto a slush-covered shoulder, lost control and went over a snowbank. Her vehicle landed on its roof on Morgan Drive.

She was transported to ThedaCare in Waupaca.

• Icy conditions caused a crash shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the town of Mukwa.

Clarence Kamke, 61, New London, was westbound over a bridge on State Highway 54 when rain started falling, froze instantly and made roads treacherous, according to the accident report.

Kamke slid out of control and hit a guard rail.

He was taken by ambulance to ThedaCare in New London.
