A structure fire burned down a detached garage in Bear Creek on Monday, Feb. 25.

The garage was located at E9414 State Highway 22 in Bear Creek.

Bear Creek Fire Department Lt. Ken Baierl said half the garage was already on fire when the department arrived on scene.
Baierl said there were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Crews were on scene for approximately three hours from about 10 a.m. until around 1 p.m.

According to Baierl, there were boats and a pop-up camper among other objects inside the garage during the fire.

Fire departments from New London and Clintonville and the Clintonville Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
