5K Fun Run set for April 13

The Manawa Revitalization Committee will host its annual 5K run at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Solarus parking lot, at 131 Second Street, Manawa.

“It is an opportunity to get out, get fit and explore Manawa for the first time or from a new perspective,” said Mary Eck, who helps organize the event.

This is an untimed run through the streets of Manawa.

Cost of registration is $25 for an adult and $13 for Youth 15 and under. For groups of for or more: Adults $23; Kids 15 & Under $13 (T-shirt included).

For those wishing to register that day of event, registration begins at 7 a.m. until time of race.

Refreshments will be served following the run.

Funds raised from the event are used to sponsor other events that promote the city of Manawa and will also help benefit beautification and economic projects in the downtown area.
