Moms (and Dads)
Dear Reader,
Last Sunday was Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day is right around the corner in June.
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are a shout-out to all those Moms and Dads who give tirelessly to their children.
Raising kids is a higher and truer calling than just about any other. Teaching and nurturing the next generation is a huge responsibility. Doing it right means not only teaching them in words about our core values, but also leading by example with promises kept and deeds accomplished.
The alternative – ignoring the kids to focus on our own needs – will leave them searching endlessly for the parenting they never had in their childhood.
A belated bow to all the hard-working Moms – Happy Mother’s Day – and an early salute to the dutiful Dads – Happy Fathers Day!
