Guns found in felon’s home

Deputies seize cocaine, narcotics, weapons

Nicholas J. Ulbing, 32, is charged with six counts of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine, possession of narcotics, possession of THC, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On March 26, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Strobusch received an anonymous tip of drug activity at Ulbing’s home on West River Road in the town of Union.

Ulbing shares the home with his girlfriend, Tammie L. Harris, 37.

She was charged for the same offenses as party to a crime.

During a search of the house, deputies reported finding six weapons, including a semi-automatic assault rifle, a .44-caliber handgun and a shotgun with no serial number.

Officers also seized 1.25 grams of cocaine, more than 2 grams of marijuana, and 194 pills and tablets for prescription medications, including narcotics.

Ulbing is currently in custody in Waukesha County, where he was convicted of forgery uttering on Dec. 13, 2018, and placed on two years’ probation.

He is scheduled for a revocation hearing on June 6, in Waukesha County.

Ubling is scheduled for an initial court appearance in Waupaca County on June 18.
