Olson, Sandra “Sandy” L.

Sandra “Sandy” L. Olson, age 73 of Embarrass passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, May 31, 2019 at her home.

Sandy was born on July 19, 1945 in New London as the daughter of the late Ralph and Violet (Bricco) Young. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1963 and worked for Kimberly Clark in Neenah. On May 22, 1965 Sandy was united in marriage to Wayne Olson at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville where she was still a current member. Sandy served the Village of Embarrass on their Election Board and was also the village’s Secretary/Treasurer for many years. She looked forward to her Canasta Card Club games each month and enjoyed the many friendships that came with it. In her spare time, Sandy could be found knitting, gardening, camping with friends at Farmer Gene’s Campground, and playing with her dog. One of her favorite things to do was scrapbooking; especially when it came to chronicling her grandchildren’s growth throughout the years. She made family her focal point in life and loved decorating for the holidays because it meant spending time with them.

Survivors include: her husband, Wayne; daughters, Michelle (Dave) Huber and Tanya (Tim) Ubersox; grandchildren: James and Brenton Hicks; Alyssa Coan; Richard, Lance, and Kolbe Ubersox; and Ariana and Zachary Huber; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Coan and Elaina Rineck; siblings: Sheila (Jim) Villiesse, Tom (Nancy) Young, and Annie (Brandon) Stern. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Jordan Ubersox, and in-laws Leona and Bernard Stabnaw.

Sandy’s memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville with Fr. Jack Mullarkey and Deacon Lincoln Wood officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by her family. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
