Wolves have top baseball, softball players

Not only did Manawa win Central Wisconsin Conference North Division baseball and softball championships this season, the Wolves also had the division’s player of the year in each sport.
Sophomore Deion Stroud was named the player of the year in baseball, while junior Kirstin Schernecker won the honor in softball.
Senior Nate Reynolds and junior Kenny Reynolds joined Stroud on the first team in baseball, while sophomores Riley Krenke, Sawyer Strebe and Ethan Tellock made the second team and seniors Austin Kitowski and Jeven Sachtjen received honorable mention.
Manawa’s Chad Stroud was also named coach of the year in baseball.
Senior Chloe Johnson and junior Sydney Lee joined Schernecker on the first team in softball, while senior Brooklynn Wepner, juniors Mikayla Wegener, Grace O’Brien and Alyssa Hedtke and sophomore Aubrie Seeger received honorable mention.
