Waupaca County sheriff’s report June 10

Traffic: A Waupaca driver hit a bear at 4:18 a.m. Thursday, June 6, in the town of Farmington.

Susan A. Berrig, 50, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 10 in a passenger van when she hit the bear.

Berrig suffered from a broken foot, and the bear was killed in the crash.

• June 9 – Caller from the 200 block of Wolf River Drive, Fremont, reported people involved in an accident were banging on his door and yelling obscenities at him.

• June 9 – Croossroad Care Center, Weyauwega, reported an employee stole a wallet from her purse. The suspect was bringing the purse back.

• June 9 – Caller from Sunset Drive, Iola, reported his neighbor’s German shepherd lunged at him while he taking out the trash.

• June 9 – New London caller reported her 16-year-old bipolar daughter was smashing things and being disorderly.

• June 8 – Caller from the 300 block of W. North Water Street, New London, reported he arrived home and several people were inside his apartment without his permission. He kicked them out, but one returned and was trying to enter his apartment.

• June 8 – Kwik Trip, Mill Street, New London, reported a custmer tried to pass a fake $100 bill.

• June 8 – Cenex, North Main Street, Scandinavia, reported a woman was in the store, holding a razor and saying she was suicidal.

• June 8 – Caller from the 200 block of Maple Street, Waupaca, reported a 12-year-old boy hit her daughter in the face.

• June 7 – ThedaCare Waupaca reported a power meter was damaged and forced open near the emergency entrance.

• June 7 – Caller from the 900 block of Rooyalton Street, Waupaca, reported three batteries were stolen from the back of his truck.

• June 7 – Wisconsin Veterans Home at King requested an officer for a fight that broke out between two residents.

• June 7 – Caller from the 700 block of Tenth Street, Waupaca, reported his neighbors were intoxicated and arguing.

• June 7 – A New London woman reported her husband pushed her down three concrete steps, then choked her.

• June 6 – Caller from the E2300 block of Pebble Run Road, Farmington, reported losing three gold bracelets.

• June 6 – Caller from the E8600 block of Marsh Road, Fremont, reported someone punctured the tires on his tractors and dumped something into their engines.

• June 6 – Kwik Trip, County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, reported a shoplifter stole bottles of liquor.

• June 5 – New London caller said an acquaintance who owed her more than $1,000 gave her a computer and a Fitbit as payment. She then discovered the items were stolen from Best Buy in Plover.

• June 5 – Waupaca caller reported he encountered several cars stopped in the middle of King Road near County Trunk QQ. He stopped and asked them what they were doing. One of the drivers started swearing at him. They then followed the caller home.

• June 4 – Clintonville caller reported her neighbor has a camera aimed at her house and she is “freaked out.”

• June 4 – Fremont caller reported a man followed her home from work late at night. When she arrived home, he drove slowly pst her driveway, turned around and drove past again.

• June 4 – Woman living in Dayton reported someone opened credit card accounts in her and her husband’s name. They froze the accounts. Now, the Department of Motor Vehicles called and said new driver’s licenses had been issued in their names.

• June 4 – Ogdensburg caller reported her ex-boyfriend is harassing her. She said he had called her about 100 times and kept sending her emails.
