Pork dinner in Northland

From the same Iola-area church responsible for the annual lutefisk supper

Northland Lutheran Church will host a Smoked Pork Extravaganza from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22.

The meal will feature smoked pork ribs and pork shoulders, homemade cornbread, baked potatoes, coleslaw and dessert.

Music will be provided by Praise With Passion.

Tickets are $12 for ages 12 and up.

To reserve tickets, call 715-445-2956. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

Raffles will be drawn at 1:30 p.m., and people must be present to win. All proceeds go to the church’s outreach efforts.

The church is located in rural Northland, nine miles north of Iola on State Highway 49.

Well-known for its long-running lutefisk supper in October, this is the church’s first time hosting an early summer event.

“We hope to start a new tradition, in addition to our lutefisk supper,” said Rev. Dan Somers. “We enjoy reaching out to the community and serving them.”
